Dr. Krista Hinchey

 

  Growing up in Southwest Georgia, Dr. Krista Cox Hinchey holds southern living close to her heart. Dr. Krista is now happy to call Savannah her home. Dr. Krista’s husband, Paul, grew up in Savannah and now they both are excited and grateful to be able to raise their family in this charming city.

 

Dr. Krista completed dental school at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta in May 2011. Upon finishing dental school, she completed her pediatric dental residency at MCG as well, under the name of Georgia Regents University. At this program, she completed training at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite and Egelston. From this training, she gained a wealth of knowledge in special needs patients. In September of 2015, she became a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Krista is one of the few pediatric dental providers in the Savannah area to receive board certification in her field, assuring patients and their families that they will be receiving the best care possible. Dr. Krista is a member of the American Board of Pediatric Dentists, American Academy of Pediatric Dentists and the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentists.

 

Upon finishing residency in Georgia, Dr. Krista joined her husband, Paul M. Hinchey, in Nashville, Tennessee where he was completing the six - year M.D. Oral and Maxillofacial Program at Vanderbilt. During this time, Dr. Krista was an associate in a pediatric dental practice in the surrounding areas of Nashville from July 2011 until May 2017. During this associateship, she performed in-office oral conscious sedations and general anesthesia cases in a surgery center setting. Dr. Krista’s husband, Paul, has joined the Chatham Oral Surgery and Maxillofacial group here in Savannah.

 

When not at her office, Dr. Krista enjoys spending time with her family outdoors, whether that be on the beach or in the backyard. Dr. Krista and her husband have a little girl, Addy J and a son, Briggs, that keeps them on their toes!
